The final pillars will be very similar to these ones which I built based on the Art Christopher Denise did for the Great Redwall Feast, Winter's Tale, and Redwall Cookbook. They will probably be farther apart and taller though... since these one'se seem way too thick and close together.

Yup. (creepy candy storeman's voice) "...uh ... FREE!" lol, Since Mr. Brian Jacques owns the copywrites to his world, characters, and such, and he's not endorsing this we're doing it sheerly for the love of Redwall. So... no $$$ involved.

MY friend ontroduced me to Redwall, though I had forgotten the name after then I never saw him ever again never having read to books, the only one I know of was the Long Patrol... would you like some help in designing? I've a keen knowledge of this style of architecture and am reasonable with character & Clothing designs if needed, or if there aren't already I could be your cartographer...
just a thought, the character and the general atmopshere here has the basics, all you need is dynamic mapping and reactive lighting and shading. hardest part would be the reactive light, though I know nothing of game design...
I would seriously love your help, even if it isn't in programming. We have several artists, but there will be tons of characters, and I do need a lot of help designing the Abbey and grounds. There will also be a couple scenes outside of the abbey grounds.
Dynamic lighting and realtime shadows are something I'd love to put on botht the character and the environments. I wish there was a one-click fix all method, but those rarely do what you want fast enough. I've experimented with a large variety of shader effects, but at the moment it doesn't look like we'll be able to use any of them as they slow things down almost to a halt. I have been looking into getting a shadow for the characters, and that seems like it might be possible. Another note, the lightmaps on this particular piece of architecture are very-very poor quality compared with the ones that'll actually be in the final program. (lightmaps are basically, "fake" shadows that are pregenerated to make it look like there is a light source casting shadows on the objects)
I gotta get off the web now and go to bed, but I should be back on tomorrow evening. Do you use any sort of instant messenger?

yeah, but rarely on... if you can give me a rough Idea of what you want out of the Abbey and additional characters, I can make some scribbles for you Mind you I've had plenty of Experience with Anthro characters so they souldn't be too hard, my main skills are in technical drawings and now working three dimensional sketches, all of which in pencil and usually cleaned up in PS... It's the weekend now and I don't have much planned, should be able to get a reasonable amount done
